Veterinarians
RON SCHWAB D.V.M. – VETERINARIAN/OWNER
Dr. Ron graduated from MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. He started the current practice in June of 1978 as an ambulatory farm-call/house-call practice, moving into his first clinic in 1980 and into the current location in November of 2004. Dr. Ron enjoys his work because of the satisfaction he receives from helping animals recovery from life-threatening injuries and/or illnesses and the close relationships he builds with their owners. He also is proud of the close personal relationships he has built with his numerous large-animal clients and the trust they instill in him to help them become as successful as possible. Dr. Ron is married to his wife, Jenny, and has three children – Jeff, Jon, and Abby - and 4 grandchildren – Andrew, Alex, Hailey and Carter. When not working he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and taking care of his animals. He has multiple pets including 6 dogs, 4 cats, peacocks, turkeys, and more chickens than he wants to count. Dr. Ron is the senior clinician/owner and plays every role as veterinarian from consulting on almost any kind of farm animal to performing advances orthopedic surgeries on dogs and cats.

JON SCHWAB D.V.M. - VETERINARIAN
Dr. Jon graduated from MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. His favorite parts of his job include interacting with owners and performing soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Jon is married to Clara, and they have two children - Hailey and Carter. In his spare time he enjoys camping, hiking, golfing, woodworking and spending time with his family. He has multiple pets including a lab mix named Maddie, 2 cats – Azzy and Amber, a snake named Ruby, and fresh and saltwater aquariums filled with numerous fish. Dr. Jon's role in the office is as a veterinarian, and is responsible for providing services to both large and small animals and occasionally reptiles.

MOLLY LIEN D.V.M. – VETERINARIAN
Dr. Molly Lien graduated from MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2011 and is originally from Midland. She has a special interest in surgery and food animal medicine and enjoys the variety and challenges of a true mixed animal practice. She also has experience in wildlife medicine and rehabilitation. She enjoys the wonderful supportive staff at Arenac Bay and looks forward to growing with the practice. Dr. Lien has a cat named Jacob and 2 labradors, Colby and Leka. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and going kayaking, skim boarding and snowboarding.

HANNAH CARRUTHERS D.V.M.
Dr. Hannah Carruthers graduated in May of 2012 with her doctorate degree. Her favorite part about the job is interacting with the people and the animals. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys camping, spending time with friends and family, skiing, and volunteering with 4-H and FFA

DIANE BLEHM - OFFICE MANGER
Diane has worked at Arenac Bay Vet Clinic since 2006. Her favorite part about the job is helping the clients and meeting new people. Diane has raised wildlife for the past 30 years including whitetail deer, fox , pheasants and many others. Currently she owns pheasants, chickens and a Brittany Spaniel named Gomer. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband Mark for 33 years has three children and three grandchildren twin boys and one baby granddaughter
Assistants

SABRINA PARROTT - TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT
Sabrina has worked at Arenac bay vet clinic since 2006. She is currently enrolled in classes working towards a veterinary technician degree. Her favorite part about the job is seeing sick or hurt animals come in and walk out the door healthy and healed. She also enjoys interaction with the clients. When not working, Sabrina enjoys reading, camping and watching movies. Sabrina has a dachshund named Shibby

TARA PENA - OFFICE ASSISTANT/ VET ASSISTANT
Tara has worked at the clinic 2009. Her favorite part about the job is helping clients and their pets. She has two children. She recently moved back to Michigan from living in Kansas. Tara owns two parakeets Rodney and Petey and also a Cocker Spaniel named Arrow.

BRENNA HOLLENBECK - ASSISTANT
Brenna has worked at Arenac Bay Vet Clinic since 2007. She is currently a vet assistant. She is attending college, working towards her vet technician degree. Brenna's favorite part about the job is learning new information everyday from the doctors and clients. Outside of work she enjoys riding horses, four wheeling and just about anything outdoors. She has two pets, a German short hair named J.D. and a paint horse named C.C.

BECKY COOK - TECHNICIAN/ASSISTANT
Becky has worked at the clinic since 1999. She has been married to her husband Steve for 8 years, they enjoy having cookouts, going camping and being with friends and family. Becky's favorite part about the job is working with the animals and working with everyone at the clinic. Becky spends time both in the clinic and out on farm calls. She has three pets, two Great Danes, Hank-8 years and Duke- 2 years and a 23 year old Quarter Horse named Dude
Receptionists

ANNE BLEHM - ASSISTANT
Anne has worked at the clinic since 2009. Her favorite part about the job is interacting with the people and the animals. When not working, Anne enjoys fishing, being outdoors and spending time with family and her Boxer named Mack.
